AMV Software

I have the technical know how and stuff, and I could find tuts.
I know we have plenty of great AMVers here, so I'd like to propose an inquiry(Shmancy-talk for I gots a question)

What Programs/software do you use?

I use sony vegas 7 and adobe after effects cs4 but being warning dont get adobe after effects if your sure your a pro.....

i use sony vegas 7.0 and windows movie maker

it do sucks everyone has sony vegas.....

So Vegas will take the videos, split them up into sections, re-order them, and then allow me to add audio over them? so why does everyone have WMM listed o_O

windows movie maker doesen't suck it just depends on the version. the vista one sucks, but the xp one is actually good once you learn how to use it.

I also use Sony Vegas 7.0a as well. I find that it does the job.You can split videos, add special effects, slow down videos etc.

Most people have WMM listed cause it usually comes installed with today's computers. But know that it doesn't really matter cause I've seen really good AMV's made on WMM.

I'd say that WMM can do the same things Vegas does but without the effects. Not too sure, so if someone knows, just please correct me.

yep sony vegas lets you split videos add any music or audio speed or slow down the duration have good effects, good rendering and easy to be use....
but there are some more good video editing program besides sony vegas....

Yeah, most of my AMV's were made from WMM, and they rock

But i have to say i like using Sony Vegas Pro, it's cool and pwnage! I use Sony Vegas Pro Vs. 9.0!

Sweet. But I'm installing Debian soon, any of those software work on Linux?

Debian is an operating system (Like Windows) but it's exponentially better than the 'W' word in my opinion. But that's beside the point. I'm sure I could find something on Softpedia.

linux has little to no editing software. plus sony vegas/wmm/adobe premiere will not work under WINE.

Sony vegas 6, 7 or 8 you should get dont get sony vegas 9....
big pros who know what they are doing have adobe after effects and/or Adobe Premiere Pro its really hard useing those program....
some video editing program have that thing in the middle like avs, that was my first program

i use to work with adobe, so i have all of there stuff =P

that thing is hard to use i hates it,
one second editing the video then two seconds later thinking whats next.

neah, it's easy, my brother showed me how to use it and it's rather simple, and the result of the video is awesome!

well i hate it too much effects and stuff dont know what i am doing.
and the rendering is hard.

actually rendering could be quite easy..
my trick is to zoom in as much as possible when i render or mask.
the only thing that sucks about rendering is that it takes really long -_-'
